Digital Fine-Art

Digital fine art explained
Black-and-white photography and E-Paper come together in a calm image display. The reflective screen has no backlight: you view the image in the light already present in the room.
What is fine-art photography?
Fine-art photography uses light, texture and composition as means of artistic expression. Black and white draws attention to shapes, contrasts and the photographer’s individual perspective.
Digital art on E-Paper
E-Paper reflects ambient light. A static image needs no continuous refresh, giving it the stillness of a print. The refresh may be briefly visible when an image changes.

Fine tonal detail and image processing
APHEUM Deep-Grayscale prepares photographs for the E-Paper display, aiming for nuanced tones and smooth transitions. The described appearance of 255 gray tones is distinct from the panel’s native number of gray levels.
Your personal art space
Use the APHEUM app to select your own photographs or separately available curated collections. A lifetime license for the Private Collection of your own images is included when you buy a Frame.
No backlight. Low energy use.
E-Paper retains a static image without continuous redrawing. Electronics, Wi-Fi and image changes still use energy. Battery life depends on usage, image changes and the batteries used.
